Molineux – Premier League
Liverpool can take another step towards the Premier League title by taking three points from their visit to Wolves. Nuno Santo’s side are dangerous but having played the equivalent of a full league season already, they can be forgiven for tiring.
These two sides faced each other less than a month ago in Premier League action, with Liverpool winning 1-0 at Anfield, and the Reds have won their last seven league games against Nuno’s side.
Wolves have no fresh injury worries following the weekend 3-2 comeback win at Southampton, but midfielder Diogo Jota could be included if he passes a late fitness test.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could hand starts to Joel Matip and Fabinho following their returns from injuries, with Joe Gomez and Gini Wijnaldum in line to be rested.
Wolves vs. Liverpool Predictions, Preview and Predictions
Santo’s side returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a brilliant second half turnaround against Southampton, ending a run of five games without a win. That victory keeps them right in race for another Europa League finish, only trailing Manchester United, in fifth place, by goal difference.
Liverpool regained their 16 point lead at the top with a 2-0 win at home to Manchester United at the weekend, with Klopp’s side closing in on a first league title in 30 years.
The visitors may look to rest a few players for this game, with the position looking very strong heading into the final straight.
Wolves’ win on the south coast will have boosted confidence for Santo’s squad, but Liverpool look in ruthless mood right now – and they are at 1.64 to win at Molineux. The game against the Saints was also Wolves’ 38th of the season so far, with four months’ football still to play.
The hosts do have plenty of fire power available, with likes of Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto, and they should get themselves on the score sheet against Klopp’s side. With that in mind, a BTTS bet is available at 1.8.
Liverpool to win 2-1 at 9.0
Liverpool showed their grit to win at home to rivals United, and they should see this game as another box to be ticked as they push on for the Premier League title in May.
Sadio Mane to score anytime at 2.4
The Senegalese international is Liverpool’s joint top scorer so far this season, on 15 in all competitions, alongside Mo Salah. He also has two goals in his last four games, and three goals in his last three games against Wolves.
