Valencia vs. Real Madrid Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Real Madrid and Valencia meet in the Supercopa de Espana semi-final in Saudi Arabia, with Barcelona or Atletico Madrid waiting. It’s a mid-season chance for a trophy, but Los Blancos might focus more on La Liga.

Past Meetings

Valencia picked up a 1-1 draw at home against Real Madrid in La Liga back in December, and the last time they met in the Spanish Supercopa, in 2008, Real Madrid won 6-5 across the two legged final.

Team News

Valencia will be without star striker Rodrigo Moreno for the trip to the Middle East, as he recovers from a knee injury, with Goncalo Guedes still sidelined.

Real Madrid are still without midfielder Eden Hazard through injury, with James Rodriguez and Marcelo both set to undergo late fitness tests.

Valencia vs. Real Madrid Predictions, Preview and Predictions

Valencia head to the reformatted competition on the back of a unbeaten run of seven games in all competitions.

Los Che have not been a regular in the competition, and this is their first Supercopa appearance since 2008.

Real Madrid beat Getafe 3-0 in La Liga action at the weekend, to draw level on points with leaders Barcelona.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are now in excellent form as they prepare for the last four tie, with an unbeaten run of 14 games ahead of this game.

Whilst Real Madrid will be fully focused on league action in the coming weeks, as they look to chase down La Blaugrana, but they should have enough to win this, at a price of 0.8.

Supercopa games do tend to involve a lot of goals, and despite Real Madrid’s record of three successive clean sheets, you would expect Valencia to get a goal.

In fact, Valencia were the last team to score against Zidane’s side, and with that in mind, a BTTS bet is available at 0.53.

Recommended Bets

Real Madrid to win 2-1 at 7.5

Zidane won his only Supercopa final during his first spell in charge, in 2017 against Barcelona, and he will want another crack at the final this time.

Karim Benzema to score anytime at 0.8

Benzema has been in excellent form for Los Blancos so far this season, with 16 goals in 23 games in all competitions, and he has scored in both of his last two games against Albert Celades’ side.
