Tottenham vs Bournemouth Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Jose Mourinho has got off to a good start to his Tottenham career and welcomes a Bournemouth side entrenched in mid-table. The former Chelsea boss has recorded two victories from his opening two games and is out to make it three in a row as Spurs welcome a Bournemouth side firmly entrenched in mid table.

Past Meetings

Spurs lost in their last meeting with Bournemouth last May, their first defeat to The Cherries in the Premier League era. This corresponding fixture last season resulted in a 5-1 win to the home side.

Team News

Tottenham will be without Ben Davies, who picked up an injury in the win over West Ham last weekend, there are also long-standing injuries to Erik Lamela, Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm, who are all out.

The away side have no new fresh injury concerns following their 2-1 defeat to Wolves last weekend. They will be without Simon Francis, who was sent off against Wolves and thus will be suspended for the game.

Tottenham vs. Bournemouth Preview and Predictions

Tottenham, and Mourinho, will want to keep their winning streak going with a win against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth, and they’re available at 1.39 to do just that. Bournemouth might have fancied their chances when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge and Spurs were struggling, but the situation has changed. They’re 7.25 for the win, and the draw is at 5.40.

Mourinho, at least for the time being, looks like some of his old swagger has returned. Tottenham came from 2-0 down against Olympiacos midweek to win 4-2, which will have bolstered confidence.  Expect a home victory in this counter, with the Mourinho effect continuing.

Recommended Bets

Harry Kane to score first at 3.50

The England striker is in sensational form at the moment, and has scored 13 goals in 17 games in all competitions this season. He could very well get on the scoresheet against The Cherries.

Over 3.5 goals at 2.35

Tottenham conceded goals, a lot of them. They’ve only managed to keep one clean sheet this season. But by the same token they also score plenty of goals, seven in their last two games. Expect there to be goals in this game.
