Sevilla vs. Leganes Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Sevilla are looking to keep their excellent La Liga form going at bottom-of-the-table Leganes. The visitors are improving, but have a long way to go before they’re out of danger.

Past Meetings

Sevilla have lost just one of their six La Liga meetings with Leganes, and Julen Lopetegui’s side, but that was in their most recent meeting, in May, as Leganes won 3-0 in Andalucia.

 Team News

Sevilla will be without forward Lucas Ocampos, as he serves a one game La Liga ban, with Lopetgeui also without Daniel Carrico through injury, but Bryan Gil should be fit to return.

Leganes have Kevin Rodriguez back following a suspension, but Javier Aguirre will wait until the last minute to make a decision on the fitness of Marc Navarro.

Sevilla vs. Leganes Preview and Predictions

Sevilla head into this game as one of the most in form sides in La Liga, with a run of four wins and two draws from their last six games.

Lopetegui’s side are not up into third in the table, a point behind Real Madrid and Barcelona, and they will be looking to keep that impressive momentum going.

Leganes remain rooted to the bottom of the table following their 2-1 defeat at home to league leaders Barcelona last weekend.

Javier Aguirre does look to have instilled more solidity into the team, but there is still work to be done in the coming weeks.

Lopetegui’s side have a busy schedule at the moment, with Europa League commitments alongside domestic action, but they should have enough to keep their run going here – with a home win priced at 0.4.

But with Aguirre looking to make Leganes more solid at the back, and Sevilla record of four goals in their last three home league games, this one may not be a thriller, with an under 2.5 total goals scored bet at 0.72.

Recommended Bets

Sevilla to win 2-0 at 5.5

If they can maintain their form into the New Year, Lopetegui will be confident of securing a top four place and a return to next season’s Champions League.

Ever Banega to score anytime at 4.25

With Ocampos banned for the hosts, they will be looking to the steady head of their skipper Banega to get a goal, likely from a set piece.
