Milan vs. Napoli Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

21 November 2019

Saturday 23 November

Stadio Guiseppe Meazza – Serie A

Can Carlo Ancelotti reverse the bad atmosphere around the Stadio San Paolo and take home a win against a side equally as lacking in confidence as the Partenopei? This is a game between two sides in dire need of some confidence.

Past Meetings

The last meeting between the pair ended in a 2-0 win to the home side in the Coppa Italia at the beginning of the year.

Team News

Milan have several key players out for the game. Ismael Bennacer, who has become a regular under Pioli, is out through suspension, as is Hakan Calhanoglu. Mateo Musacchio and Samu Castillejo are out through injured.

Napoli have Arkadiusz Milik, Faozi Ghoulam and Kevin Malcuit all out through injury, but otherwise should have a full squad to pick from.

Milan vs. Napoli Preview and Predictions

Napoli’s player mutiny has caused huge controversy in Italy over the last two weeks, and they haven’t won a game since beating Verona in the league in mid October. Milan have looked somewhat better under Stefano Pioli, but are still failing to pick up points.

Expect tension, lots of tension, but perhaps not many goals. Both sides are going through periods of little confidence, Napoli haven’t won in a month, Milan have won once in their last five, so don’t expect high quality football. Napoli have slipped out of the Champions League places and know they need a win to regain their footing in the table. They’re 2.30 to get a vital three points, with Milan at 3.15 for the win and the draw 3.55.

Milan meanwhile will look for another solid performance, hoping that perhaps a draw would be a good result for Stefano Pioli’s side. Pioli’s side are lacking strikers that will score goals. Krzyzstof Piatek looks light years away from the player he was last term.

Recommended Bets

An away win at 2.30

Napoli should regain some confidence with a win against Milan, but it won’t be easy, no pleasing on the eye

Napoli first to score 1.74

Napoli should strike first, and strike early. Milan have found goals hard to come by, so expect the Partenopei to get in there before the Rossoneri do.
