Manchester City vs. Leeds Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Saturday 10 April
Etihad Stadium - Premier League
Manchester City continue their march towards the Premier League title with a home game against Leeds United this weekend. Saturday’s early kick-off promises an intriguing encounter between Pep Guardiola and Marcelo Bielsa, but surely only one winner in the mobile online betting for this fixture.
Rodrigo’s second-half strike cancelled out Raheem Sterling’s early opener, as these teams drew 1-1 at Elland Road in October. That was the first meeting between the clubs since a 2013 FA Cup tie, which City won 4-0. Their last two Premier League clashes before this season were during the 2003/04 campaign when Leeds claimed a 1-1 draw in Manchester before a 2-1 triumph in the return. That wasn’t enough to save the Whites from relegation though.
Man City currently have a completely clean bill of health and no suspensions to worry about. That puts the Blues in a superb position for competing on all four fronts, as they attempt to land an unprecedented quadruple over the final weeks of the season.
Leeds aren’t doing badly on the injury front either, with Adam Forshaw the only player out of this game for the visitors due to fitness troubles. However, loanee Jack Harrison is unable to face his parent club, depriving the Whites of a key attacking threat.
Manchester City vs. Leeds Preview and Predictions
Manchester City may have played one game more than Leeds United, but the Blues are a full 32 points clear of their visitors this weekend as we head towards the climax of the Premier League season. The champions-elect are in great shape at present, and anything other than a home win would be a huge shock.
City have recovered from their loss to Manchester United last month to win five games in a row across the league, FA Cup and Champions League, keeping a clean sheet in each of the last four. The derby defeat is the only match the Blues have failed to win since mid-December, with Guardiola’s side winning 26 of their 27 fixtures prior to Tuesday’s European clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The Citizens may have dropped points against Leeds earlier in the campaign, but they are the overwhelming favourites to make up for that this weekend. The hosts are 1.25 in the latest odds for this game, while Leeds are 10.75 and the draw is 6.50.
Another point would represent an excellent result for Leeds given the circumstances. The Whites have beaten Fulham and Sheffield United 2-1 in their last two games either side of the international break, but those two teams are both in the relegation zone and miles off City’s standards.
Leeds are capable of playing some lovely football, but City will be licking their lips if their visitors commit men forwards with their usual disregard to defensive shape and solidity. The Whites took a 6-2 pasting at Old Trafford a few months ago playing like that, and they could be in for another hiding on their return to Manchester down the M62
Man City to win to nil at 1.95
The Blues have been racking up an impressive number of clean sheets over recent weeks, while they’ve only conceded 21 goals in 31 Premier League fixtures so far this season, at an average of less than one per game.
Over 6.5 goals at 18.00
Leeds are always capable of creating chances though, and could find themselves on the scoresheet. Equally, City are capable of putting seven or more goals past the Whites, with an over 7.5 goals bet offering even bigger odds at 45.00.
