Anfield – Premier League
Liverpool beat Tottenham home and away in Premier League action last season, with a 2-1 wins in North London and at Anfield.
The Reds also claimed their sixth European Cup/Champions League against Spurs, with a 2-0 win in Madrid thanks to goals from Mo Salah and Divock Origi.
Salah missed last weekend’s 1-1 draw away at Manchester United due to a foot injury, however he is expected to be back fit for this game.
Jurgen Klopp will also make a late decision on the fitness of Xherdan Shaqiri, with the Swiss international in line for a comeback.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has a few injury concerns ahead of the trip to Anfield, with Christian Eriksen still struggling with a thigh problem.
Summer signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon joining Hugo Lloris on the long-term absentee list.
Liverpool vs. Tottenham Preview and Predictions
Liverpool’s 100% Premier League record in 2019-20 came to an end last weekend, as they were held at Old Trafford.
Klopp will be demanding a reaction from his players, up against one of their key rivals, as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Spurs’ form has been very inconsistent in recent weeks, and their 1-1 draw at home to Watford last weekend highlights that.
Pochettino will not be looking forward to the journey north, with his side winning just one of their last six in all competitions.
Despite that slip last weekend, Liverpool still look very strong, and it is difficult to see past anything other than a home win – priced at 0.5.
However, Liverpool have not been as solid defensively this season, conceding at least a goal in all three most recent games.
With that in mind, a BTTS bet is available at 1.25.
Liverpool to win 2-1 at 7.5
Klopp will want to send a message to Manchester City following the stumble last weekend, and with Tottenham struggling for form they should have more than enough to pick up all three points.
Sadio Mane to score anytime at 1.80
The Senegalese international has been Liverpool’s star man so far in 2019-20, leading their scoring charts with eight goals in all competitions.
He also has two goals in his last three games for Klopp’s side.
