Liverpool vs Brighton Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Liverpool will want to maintain their relentless pace atop the Premier League table when they face an inconsistent Brighton. The Seagulls have been hot and cold, but recently signed Graham Potter to a new long-term contract.

Past Meetings

Liverpool have won their last four meetings with Brighton in the Premier League era. Liverpool won this corresponding fixture 1-0 in 2018/19.

Team News

Andy Robertson played through the pain barrier against Crystal Palace last weekend, and should be fit for the game against Brighton. Mo Salah wasn’t selected for the Palace game, but should play against Napoli in midweek, and face Brighton. Joel Matip is struggling with a knee injury.

Bright will have captain Lewis Dunk available after he served a one-game suspension. Striker Aaron Connolly is also working his way back to full fitness. Bernardo should also be back, whilst winger Jose Izquierdo is absent.

Liverpool vs. Brighton Preview and Predictions

Liverpool are on a roll. Jurgen Klopp’s men have won their last seven games in all competitions and are nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table. The Reds should prove to be simply too much for a Brighton side that are too inconsistent. The Seagulls sit comfortably in mid table but have only won once on the road all season and are 15.00 to do so here. Liverpool, by contrast, are 1.20 and the draw is 6.85.

Brighton also have a had time keeping clean sheets, and have only kept one clean sheet away from home this seasonm on the opening day against Watford. Expect Liverpool to create a plethora of chances, and depending on how ruthless Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are, Liverpool might just put three or four past Brighton.

Recommended Bets

Liverpool to score over 2.5 goals at 1.90

Liverpool score for fun, this is hardly a recent revelation.  They’ve scored 17 goals in six home games this season. Expect them to add to this tally.

Sadio Mane to score last at 3.80

The Senegalese striker scored the winner in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend and has scored Liverpool’s last goal in three of their last four games. He could repeat the feat again.
