Ciutat de Valencia – La Liga
Real Madrid head to Levante looking to extend their lead at the top of La Liga. Zinedine Zidane’s side slipped to a 2-2 draw at home to Celta Vigo last weekend, with their lead at the top now reduced to just a point over Barcelona.
Levante almost secured a shock result at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this season, with a late 3-2 defeat in Madrid, and Los Blancos have won just two of their last five games against them.
Levante boss Paco Lopez has no new injury worries to contend with, but he will give a late fitness test to midfielder Gonzalo Melero.
Zidane has Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale both back fit, and will look to give them minutes before the Champions League clash with Manchester City, but James Rodriguez is likely to miss out again.
Levante vs. Real Madrid Preview and Predictions
Levante host Zidane’s side on the back of a very poor run of recent form, with just one win in their last five league games. Lopez’s side are sliding worryingly close to the relegation battle based on their form, and they are in urgent need of a boost.
Real Madrid’s draw with Celta Vigo has edged the title race open again, with Barcelona securing a vital win at Getafe. Zidane will want to tick this game off as a straightforward win, with that massive game at home to City on the horizon.
Despite being in need of points, Levante are unlikely to be able to stop Real Madrid at the minute, with an away win coming in at 1.47. Los Blancos have been in strong form in front of goal in recent weeks, with two or more goals scored by them in four of their last five games. With that in mind, a Real Madrid to win, with over 2.5 total goals scored bet is available at 0.83.
Real Madrid to win 3-0 at 13.0
Real Madrid look well placed to push Barcelona all the way in the La Liga title race, and they should be able to breeze past Levante in this clash.
Karim Benzema to anytime at 1.7
Benzema has been Real Madrid’s main goal threat so far this season, with 13 La Liga goals, and he has three goals in his last two games against Levante.
