Juventus will be aiming to stay on course for a Champions League spot as they play host to Parma in midweek action. Andrea Pirlo’s side look set to relinquish their title defence to Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan next month, as the Nerazzurri pull away in the table and the football betting online.

Past Meetings

Juventus swept to a 4-0 win away at Parma earlier this season and they are unbeaten in their last five games against the Ducali.

Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring for the Old Lady in that December fixture before a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo took the game away from the hosts. Alvaro Morata added a fourth goal late on to seal the points.

Parma’s last win over Juve came in 2015, when Jose Mauri scored the only goal of the game.

Team News

Pirlo will be without Colombian star Juan Cuadrado for this clash due to injury with Alex Sandro set to replace him in the starting line-up.

Parma head coach Roberto D’Aversa is likely to be without former Arsenal striker Gervinho for the visit of Juventus with Danish international Andreas Cornelius in line to replace him in the starting team.

Juventus vs. Parma Preview and Predictions

Juventus have essentially given up on their chances of hauling back Inter Milan in the Serie A title race this season with a gap of 12 points between them as it stands, prior to the weekend’s fixtures. Pirlo’s side are now focused on securing a place in next season’s Champions League and they head into this game on the back of picking up 16 points from their last seven games in league action.

Parma find themselves in a difficult situation ahead of the end of season, with D’Aversa’s side firmly in the middle of a relegation battle. They are currently cut seven points adrift of safety inside the bottom three with time running out to save themselves from dropping down into the second tier.

With Parma struggling and Juventus still having plenty left to play for this should be fairly straightforward for Pirlo’s side, with a home win priced at 1.23. The draw is available at 6.50, while the scale of Parma’s challenge is seen in their big price to win, coming in at 11.00.

Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo remains the key man for Pirlo and the Portuguese superstar is the highest scorer in Serie A this season with 25 goals to his name already in 2020-21. Having been a major part of putting Parma to the sword in December, he’ll again be a threat.

Juventus to win 2-0 at 6.50

Another three points moves Pirlo’s side ever closer to confirming a top four finish but the frustration over a low-key title defence will raise questions over the former Italy international’s future this summer.

Both teams to score 2.00

Despite Juventus gathering themselves into more consistent form in the last month they have not improved defensively with just one clean sheet in their last seven games in all competitions.
