Juventus vs. Lecce Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Serie A title-chasers Juventus play host to relegation-battling Lecce in Turin this weekend. It’s hard to see anything other than a home win and three more points for the Old Lady.

Past Meetings

Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw away at Lecce earlier this season, and Maurizio Sarri’s side have won just one of their last four games against the Lupi.

Paulo Dybala put Juventus in front from the penalty spot in their meeting in October, but Marco Mancosu equalised six minutes later – again from 12 yards.

Team News

Lecce boss Fabio Liverani should have a fully fit squad to pick from ahead of the visit of the defending Italian champions.

Sarri will be without a few key names this weekend, with Sami Khedira, Gonzalo Higuain, Giorgio Chiellini and Merih Demiral all set to miss out through injury.

Juventus vs. Lecce Preview and Predictions

Juventus are in line to be pushed all the way in the Serie A title race, with Lazio just a point behind them in second place as it stands.

Sarri’s side have not enjoyed a positive return to action however, struggling past AC Milan in their Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, before losing a penalty shoot out to Napoli in the final.

Lecce look set for a real battle to avoid the drop in the coming weeks, with goal difference keeping them inside the relegation zone ahead of the season restart.

Liverani’s side suffered two heavy defeats in their final game before the Serie A suspension in March, and they need a reaction.

However, despite the visitors in strong need of points, Juventus are set to go into ruthless mode in the coming weeks, and a home win is priced at 1.14 for this game.

The hosts have really struggled for goals on their return, with a blank against Milan and Napoli, and they will need time to get back to firing on all cylinders.

With that in mind, a Juventus win, but with under 2.5 total goals scored coming in at 1.56.

Recommended Bets

Juventus to win 2-0 at 6.0

Juventus need to kick start their season to ward off a challenge from Lazio in the next month, and Sarri’s side should be well equipped to pick up an important three points in this game.

Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime at 1.29

Ronaldo is Juventus’ top scorer this season, with 21 goals in Serie A, and 25 in all competitions. The Portuguese international’s form will be vital in deciding their fate in the coming weeks, and Sarri needs a return to form from the former Real Madrid star.
