Inter Milan vs. Parma Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
24 October 2019
Saturday 26 October
San Siro – Serie A
Inter Milan look to continue their strong start to the season, as they host in-form Parma this weekend. The Gialloblu hammered Genoa in their last match, and sit just four points clear of the top four.
Both sides beat each other away from home last season, with two 0-1 wins. Lautaro Martinez scored for Nerazzuri in their win, whilst Federico Dimarco did the job for Parma at the San Siro.
Alexis Sanchez and Danilo D’Ambrosio are both absent through injuries, with Antonio Conte hoping to rotate following Inter’s mid-week Champions League fixture. Mateo Vecino will hope to start whilst young striker Sebastiano Esposito may feature at some point.
Roberto D’Aversa is unlikely to make many changes, although will be without Roberto Inglese who came off against Genoa through injury. His replacement Andreas Cornelius will be full of confidence following a hat-trick, with Gervinho starting on the left wing, and Dejav Kulusevski on the right.
Inter Milan v Parma Preview and Predictions
Inter go into this weekend’s game within touching distance of league leaders Juventus, but face surprise package Parma at the San Siro.
Antonio Conte’s side have lost just one league match this season, and the Nerazzuri look a completely different side to the one that was devoid of attacking ideas last season. Despite being famed for his pragmatism, the coach has unleashed Romelu Lukaku, playing up front with Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez. They’re 1.31 to win here, with Parma at 11.50 and the draw 5.45.
Parma are no push-overs however, and aside from their 5-1 win last weekend, have beaten the likes of Torino and Sassuolo to secure their top-half position. A solid defensive base allows the likes of Gervinho to utilize his pace, whilst Kulusevski has been a revelation on the right. The young Swede has five assists to his name and will cause Cristiano Biraghi problems.
Even so, Inter are justified favorites going into Saturday’s game, and should have more than enough firepower to overcome Parma’s back-line. If not, Conte could see his title challenge fall away before it properly gets started.
Inter to win to nil at 2.1
Despite conceding three in their last game, Inter’s foundation is based on a strong defence and Conte will have been drilling them all week.
Over 2.5 goals at 1.57
Inter are free-scoring at the moment and it would take a miracle for Parma to keep them out.
