San Siron- Europa League
Inter Milan are looking to progress to the Europa League last 16 at the expense of Ludogorets with a win at the San Siro on Thursday. Antonio Conte’s side have one foot in the door, after a 2-0 win away from home in the first leg.
Last week’s first leg was the first ever meeting between the two sides, with Inter securing a late 2-0 win in Bulgaria.
Inter have no fresh injuries to contend with, as Samir Handanovic, Stefano Sensi and Sebastiano Esposito are still sidelined.
Ludogorets boss Stanislav Genchev rested a few players for their weekend draw with Etar Veliko Tarnovo, and he should have a full squad for the trip to Italy.
Inter Milan vs. Ludogorets Preview and Predictions
Inter got the job done in last week’s first leg, even if it took over 70 minutes to finally break down the home side. Late goals from Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku see Inter firmly in the driving seat in this tie.
Ludogorets were unlucky to concede twice in the closing stages, and that could come back to haunt them at the San Siro. A one-goal deficit would give Genchev’s side hope of turning the tie around in Italy, but their fate looks to be sealed.
Inter’s Serie A game with Sampdoria was postponed at the weekend due to a warning over coronavirus, and the extra day’s rest will boost Conte’s squad, with a home win at 1.31.
Inter have been dominant at home in recent weeks, with just one defeat at the San Siro in their last seven games. They have conceded an average of a goal a game in that run though. With that in mind, a both teams to score bet is available at 2.25.
Inter Milan to win 2-1 at 9.25
Inter look to be okay to go through here, but Ludogorets will not go down without a fight, and Conte will be very aware of their issues in keeping clean sheets.
Romelu Lukaku to score first at 2.80
Lukaku netted the vital second away goal in the first leg to bring his tally up to 22 goals in 33 games in all competitions so far in 2019/20
