The Indianapolis Colts travel to Levi's Stadium to play the San Francisco 49ers in a prime time affair. We should see quite a lot of football betting online for this one as the eyes of the nation will be locked on Sunday Night Football.

Past Meetings

The last time these two sides met was back in October 2017, with the Indianapolis Colts escaping with a 26-23 victory in overtime. In fact, the Colts have won four consecutive contests between these two teams, with the last San Francisco win coming all the way back on November 25th, 2001.

Team News

The Indianapolis Colts got some good news this week, with All-Pro left guard Quenton Nelson returning to practice and eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve. They may also have rookie defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo back in the lineup on Sunday as well.

However, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, linebacker Darius Leonard, defensive end Tyquan Lewis, defensive end Kwity Paye, offensive tackle Braden Smith, defensive end Kemoko Turay, running back Jordan Wilkins and corner back Rock Ya-Sin all missed time in practice this week.

San Francisco look to have a much healthier squad, with just defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, quarterback Trey Lance and offensive tackle Trent Williams missing time in practice.

Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers Patriots Preview and Predictions

The San Francisco 49ers come into Sunday night's contest at Levi's Stadium as 4.5-point favorites and 1.50 favorites to win the game outright as they look to improve their record to 3-3. The season started so promisingly for the 49ers, who opened up the campaign with back-to-back wins in Detroit against the Lions and on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, but they have lost three consecutive contests since.

They are desperate to regain their form and push for a playoff spot, having missed out on the postseason last year. They know they will need to win Sunday night's game if they are to have any chance of salvaging their season, but the Colts are a better team than their record suggests.

The Indianapolis Colts enter Sunday's contest with a 2-4 record as they have disappointed early in the campaign. However, their season has been the complete opposite of San Francisco’s, as they lost their first four games of the year and are coming off consecutive victories heading into Levi's Stadium.

With back-to-back wins against the Balitmore Ravens and Houston Texans, the Colts will like their chances going forward and will have some confidence as they prepare for the 49ers. They are pretty big underdogs to win the game though, listed at 2.70 to pull off a victory.

Expect to see an intense affair between two teams who have not lived up to expectations thus far. Both sides will be eager to send a signal of intent in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football to the rest of the NFL.
