Getafe vs. Real Madrid Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews

Real Madrid are aiming to keep up the pressure on Barcelona in the second half of the 2019-20 La Liga season. This Madrid derby won’t be straightforward for Los Blancos, however.

Past Meetings

Getafe held Real Madrid to a 0-0 draw home last season, however that was the first time in 11 La Liga meetings where they have not lost.

Team News

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas will be without defender Mathias Olivera, who serves a one game suspension against Zinedine Zidane’s side.

Striker Enric Gallego misses out with an ankle injury, but midfielder Kenedy faces a late fitness test.

Zidane will be without a few key names through injury, with Eden Hazard, Lucas Vazquez, James Rodriguez and Marcelo all ruled out.

Skipper Sergio Ramos is suspended for one game, while Brazilian midfielder Casemiro returns after his own ban.

Getafe vs. Real Madrid Predictions, Preview and Predictions

Getafe ended 2019 on a low note, as they lost 1-0 away at Villarreal in their final game of the calendar year at El Madrigal.

However, prior to that, Bordalas’ side were in excellent form, with six straight wins in all competitions.

Real Madrid slipped up just before the winter break, with three successive La Liga draws to end 2019.

That has allowed Barcelona to open up a two-point gap in the title race, and Zidane is well aware that they must make up ground in the coming weeks.

Getafe have proven to be a tough nut to crack in recent seasons, for La Liga’s big names, particularly on their own turf, but with Real in need of a strong start an away win comes in at an enticing price of 0.75.

Zidane´s side have not been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, with just one goal in their last three games, and this clash is likely to follow suit.

With that in mind, a Real win, with under 2.5 total goal scored is available at 3.0

Recommended Bets

Real Madrid to win 1-0 at 6.0

Zidane knows his side may start the year slowly due to their injury problems, but a win is all that matters as they look to chase down Barcelona.

Karim Benzema to score first at 3.6

The former French international has been Real Madrid’s main man in front of goal so far this season, 12 goals in 17 La Liga games, and he also has three goals in his last six games against Getafe.
