France play Bulgaria on Tuesday in the last of their warm-up matches ahead of Euro 2020. The current world champions are favourites in the mobile football betting to win the competition and come up against a side without a win in 12 matches.

Past Meetings

France by just one goal to nil when the sides met in World Cup qualifiers back in 2017 with Blaise Matuidi scoring the only goal of the game.

Team News

Didier Deschamps will be able to welcome Chelsea players back to his match-day squad with N’Golo Kante expected to slot in at the base of the midfield diamond. The manager may look to start with his first choice XI before making signficant changes at half time in order to keep key players fresh.

Yasen Petrov is not expected to make many changes to the XI that drew against Slovenia with Atanas Iliev supporting Kiril Despedov in attack. The manager could switch to a back three which would see Valentin Antov feature in the centre of defence.

France vs. Bulgaria Preview and Predictions

France welcome Bulgaria to the Stade de France on Tuesday hoping to extend their winning streak against their opponents. Historically Petrov’s side have a strong record against Les Blues and have won three of their last six meetings.

At the moment however, the hosts are arguably the strongest national team in the world and are favourites to add the Euro 2020 trophy to their collection by the end of June. France last won the European Championships in 2000 – when they were also the World Cup holders after winning on home soil in 1998.

Didier Deschamps side has seen few changes since winning the World Cup although the return to the squad for Karim Benzema should add an attacking compenent they lacked three years ago. Most important to France’s success is the development of Kylian Mbappe whilst the manager will be pleased to see N’Golo Kante playing at his very best.

Whether the France boss decides to field his stars on Tuesday, less than a week away from the competition, remains to be see, but with such strength in depth Bulgaria are likely to struggle. Yasen Petrov has built a well-drilled, compative side, but with just one goal scored in their last three games, they will struggle to make a dent on their hosts defensive record.

Recommended Bets

Kylian Mbappé to score first 3.50

Bulgaria are averaging 0.5 goals per game whilst France have kept three consecutive clean sheets. The world champions are strong in all areas but Deschamps has a surplus of talent in defence.

Over 2.5 goals 4.10

The return of Benzema has boosted France’s attacking profile resulting in them putting three past Wales in the week. At least that many should be on the agenda here in what is a distinct mismatch.
