Everton vs. Tottenham Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
31 October 2019
Sunday 3 November
Goodison Park – Premier League
Tottenham will want to ease their sluggish start to the season and face an Everton side in bad need of a win. Both teams have been disappointing so far this season, and this game is a perfect chance to gain confidence with a win.
Everton have failed to record a win against Spurs in almost seven years, their last win coming in a 2-1 at Goodison Park in December 2012. Tottenham on the other hand, have won four from the last five encounters, including a 6-2 demolition job in December 2018.
For the 2-0 win against Watford in the Carabao Cup, boss Marco Silva kept mainly his starting XI intact, no doubt in an attempt to boost confidence progress to the next round. Only Michael Keane and Theo Walcott were dropped to the bench. Expect both to return to the starting line-up for the game with Spurs.
Spurs, with no midweek fixture, have a full squad to choose from, with the only absentee being Erik Lamela. Mauricio Pochettino’s side fought bravely against Liverpool after taking the lead in the first minute, before succumbing to defeat. The game against Everton will be a chance to move up the table, and make inroads towards getting back into the fop four.
Everton vs. Tottenham Preview and Predictions
Both sides here are in need of a victory. Spurs have started the season poorly under Pochettino, with debates surrounding whether he’s taken them as far as he can go under his command. They haven’t won a league game in over a month, since beating Southampton 2-1 at the end of September. Furthermore, they haven’t won away from home this season, losing three and drawing three. They’re 2.55 to change that.
Everton are not faring much better under Marco Silva, with the club, highly touted to challenge for a Europa League spot, lying towards the bottom of the table. Yet such is the mid-table congestion in the league this season that only three points separates Everton in 16th position to Man United in seventh. Everton are 2.80 to get the much-needed win, with the draw at 3.45.
Both sides are struggling to keep clean sheets this season, so there should be goals in the game.
Over 3.5 goals scored at 2.95
Clean sheets are not in both sides MO this season, so expect goals.
Draw could be the best result at 3.45
With both sides in poor domestic form and with their inability to keep clean sheets, a high-scoring draw looks increasingly likely
