Stamford Bridge – Premier League

Chelsea are looking confident under Frank Lampard’s guidance and welcome a Crystal Palace side on a winless run of three games this Sunday. The home side have comfortably found their place in the top four this season and are looking to build on their good form in the Premier League.

Past Meetings

Crystal Palace beat Chelsea at Selhurst Park in October 2017, but since the 2-1 win at home, they have gone three matches against the Blues without claiming a single point. The last match ended with a 1-0 win for Chelsea in December, whilst the last match at Stamford Bridge between the two ended in a 3-1 win for the home side – when Alvaro Morata and Pedro Rodriguez scored the goals for the home side and Andros Townsend grabbed one for the visitors.

Team News

N’Golo Kante might be back for the home side, whilst former Palace star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed he is closing in on a return. He won’t be ready for the match against the Eagles, but the former might get the nod. Antonio Rudiger is still out for the home side.

Senegalese international Chekhou Kouyate got a knock to the head during the loss to Leicester on Sunday, but Roy Hodgson has since confirmed he will be training as normal and would probably be back in contention against Chelsea. This means Palace have no players on the injury list and will be ready to take the game to their London rivals.

Milan vs. Lazio Preview and Predictions

Chelsea have hit the ground running under the helm of the former midfielder and haven’t conceded a goal at home in the league since they lost to reigning champions Liverpool on September 22. Since then they have won to nil against both Brighton (2-0) and Newcastle (1-0) at the Stamford Bridge. They are now 1.34 to win the match, with 5.40 for a draw. Crystal Palace can be backed at 9.00 to win the game.

Tammy Abraham doesn’t stop scoring and lately Christian Pulisic has turned up to be part of the party at his new club. Mason Mount continues to impress after doing so also at Derby under the current manager. They have been proving to play with great confidence and the Blues are only behind Manchester City and Leicester on most scored goals in the league.

Crystal Palace on the other hand, have got a negative goal difference and there are nothing pointing towards them stealing the points at Chelsea’s turf this weekend. They are ninth in the league and have yet to keep a clean sheet away from home this season.

Recommended Bets

Chelsea to win to nil at 2.25

If Chelsea are to win at Stamford Bridge this season, the statistics say that Crystal Palace won’t get a goal. Even though they haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road this season, they are scoring two when they first start. In five away games, Palace have grabbed six goals divided on three games on the scoresheet. The only two games they have lost, have left the goalless and would be another punt this weekend.

Tammy Abraham to score first at 3.50

The English striker has proven to be one for the future at Chelsea and when given the push by Lampard, he has repaid the faith by scoring nine times in the league so far. He still needs to uppen his game at home for Chelsea and might start this week. Abraham is one goal behind Jamie Vardy on the leading goal scorer list and four out of his nine goals have been the first goal in the match.
