Borussia Dortmund wrap up their season with a home game against Marcel Rapp’s Hoffenheim, with Champions League qualification already assured. Hoffenheim, meanwhile, can finish no lower than seventh.

Past Meetings

Lucien Favre’s side lost 2-1 away at Hoffenheim earlier this season, with Dortmund only winning one of their last five meetings with Rapp’s side.

Mario Gotze put Dortmund in front in that game, before Sargis Adamyan and Andre Kramaric turned the scoreline on its head. The latter netted with three minutes to go.

Team News

Dortmund will be missing Marco Reus, Manuel Akanji, Thomas Delaney and Mahmoud Dahoud through injury, but Giovanni Reyna is expected to recover in time to play.

Rapp is likely to be without forward pair Ishak Belfodil and Sargis Adamyan for their final game of 2019-20, with Munas Dabour expected to shake off a knock in time to play.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Hoffenheim Preview and Predictions

Dortmund’s Bundesliga title race ended with defeat to Bayern Munich at the end of May, but their place in next season’s Champions League is already assured. Six wins from eight games on their return to action shows Dortmund are still a major force in the German top-flight, even if a title challenge proved to be beyond them.

Hoffenheim have also looked good following the season restart last month, with four wins from eight games. Rapp’s side already have their Europa League spot confirmed, with a seventh-place finish assured, ahead of Freiburg. They’re level on points with Wolfsburg, so could jump to sixth if Die Wolfe lose at home to Bayern.

Despite nothing being on the line for either team in this game, home advantage and an all star attacking should be enough to give Dortmund all three points – priced at 0.7. Dortmund have looked as good at the back as they have done in front of goal in recent weeks, with five clean sheets from seven games. With that in mind, a Dortmund to win to nil bet comes in at 4.10.

Dortmund will be aiming to end the season on a high, with a home win in this game should be a formality for Favre’s side up against a Hoffenheim side that has already secured their European objective.

Erling Haaland to score anytime at 1.74

Haaland’s form for Favre’s side has been sensational following his January arrival from RB Salzburg. He already has 13 Bundesliga goals to his name, despite only making 14 league appearances for his new club, including four goals in six games since the restart.
