Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig Predictions, Betting Tips and Previews
05 February 2020
Sunday 9 February
Allianz Arena - Bundesliga
Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig in a crunch Bundesliga clash, with only two points separating the teams at the top of the table. The hosts have the advantage in the points column but an away win would tilt the balance of power towards the visitors.
These two sides played out a 1-1 draw in Leipzig earlier this season, and the Bavarians are unbeaten in their last four games against Leipzig, including last season’s German Cup final.
Bayern are likely to be boosted by the return of French international Kingsley Coman following a knee injury, but defensive midfielder Javi Martinez remains sidelined.
Leipzig will give a late fitness test to defender Nordi Mukiele, but Tyler Adams and Christopher Nkunku have both been passed fit to play.
Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig Preview and Predictions
Hans Dieter-Flick’s side are on a roll at the minute, with six consecutive Bundesliga wins ahead of this weekend.
That run of form has seen them overhaul Julian Nagelsmann’s side and open up a one-point lead at the top of the table.
Leipzig have not been able to match that level of recent consistency, with three wins from their last six league games, and a 2-0 defeat away at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Nagelsmann’s side need a positive result in this game to remain in the title race, with a demanding run of games on the horizon.
Bayern will be confident of a win in this clash, but Leipzig look to have more up a level this season, and they will not make it easy for Flick’s side, with a draw coming in at 5.65.
Leipzig do always present an attacking threat, with 14 goals in their last six games, and they should get on the score sheet at the Allianz Arena. With that in mind, a BTTS bet is available at 1.46.
A 1-1 draw at 11.25
A repeat of the score their meeting earlier this season is not an unreasonable estimation in this clash, with Leipzig determined to keep their title hopes alive this season.
Robert Lewandowski to score anytime at 1.92
The Polish international is locked in a battle with Leipzig’s Timo Werner for the league’s top scorer this season, and the Bayern man has the edge at the moment, with 22 to compared to Werner’s 20.
He also has six goals in his last six Bundesliga games, and seven goals in nine games against Leipzig.
