Aston Villa vs. Tottenham Hotspur Preview and Predictions
Villa’s poor form in recent weeks has seen them slide right back into relegation danger ahead of the campaign run in. Smith’s side have won one in their last four Premier League games ahead of this weekend, with matches against Southampton, Leicester City and Chelsea in the coming weeks.
Spurs have found some solidity in a busy few weeks of games for Jose Mourinho’s side, with a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions. The visitors are on the hunt for the final Champions League place, and a win in this game will put real pressure on rivals Chelsea.
Villa need to start picking up points if they want to avoid dropping down into the bottom three, but Tottenham should have enough for a vital three points here – priced at 1.86. Spurs have found their scoring boots in recent games, with scoring two or more goals in four of their last six matches in all competitions. With that in mind, Mourinho’s side are at 1.74 to win, with over 1.5 total goals in the game.
Tottenham to win 2-1 at 9.25
Tottenham will want to keep pushing their recent good form, and whilst Villa are always a threat at home, Spurs should edge this one.
Son Heung-Min to score anytime at 2.50
The South Korean international has been key for Spurs in recent games, with four goals in his last four games for Spurs.
